Hollyoaks - Movin' On

Perhaps I am the only one here who watches it...or perhaps I am the only one here who'll admit to watching it... but damn, there's some depressing shit happening in that programme at the moment. However, my real motivation for this post is this: I have no idea whether Movin' On runs parallel to Hollyoaks proper (i.e. same timeline, adult theme), or represents a parallel *universe* to Hollyoaks proper... anyone care to enlighten me? Other posts in the 'oh, god, how horrible it is at the moment' vein will do quite well too, thank you...

The Strobe

What's going on in it atm? I really could care less, but am curious to hear that it has got depressing...

I personally thought TVGoHome's version of it, Hollyoaks - Movin' Fuckin' On was about as accurate as one could get...

I am a sad fucker, but I find it fascinating...at least at the moment. My attention will soon, no doubt, move on to even more intellectually devoid programming.
But anyway, in answer to your question, and with the attendant spoiler:

Ruth was hospitalized by Lewis, and was unconscious for hours (possibly days). Lewis in paroxysms of guilt, and probably pretty drunk, overdosed then fell asleep expecting to wake up dead. This did not happen, but he has just been told, by a gleeful (though I imagine that this mood will be shortlived) Finn, that he has irreversible liver damage caused by the overdose, and is dying. Happy, huh?
However, the really sad thing is the spectre of death hovering over a wonderful little dog called Cynthia...

Not Here Still

It is absolute crap, in my opinion - it's just Holloaks (which was shit, and which isn't even filmed in Chester, where it's based, anymore) with a few 'risque' bits.

The basic idea, apparently, is that it runs in teh same 'universe' as Hollyoaks, but is on later, which allows 'rougher' themes to be covered.

Which reminds me - SPOILER

Lewis is set to commit suicide at some point soon.

I only know because I've been reading something about Corrie getting done for not providing helpline numbers after a rape storyline, which mentioned Hollyoaks is apparently not going to make the same mistake...

Thanks, JB... I kind of guessed as much, but I have not been following either programme closely of late, and some characters didn't seem to overlap...
Your spoiler was very daintly placed, but I already kinda ruined it, huh?
