Do you remember...

...when the majority of comic shops didn't sell Marvel comics because they had a really lame distribution system of their own that forced retailers to buy 1 million copies of each issue or none at all?

...when the colouring of comics was made up of loads of small little dots that was okay until you noticed the fucking little dots and then they just lept out of each page at you?

...Jimmy Grant and Morgan the Mighty?

...creeping downstairs at 7:30 on a saturday morning trying not to wake your parents to retrieve your copy of Transformers and/or Spider-man and Zoids and/or Action Force from the letter box?

...when the ink for the pages of 2000AD came off onto your hands?

yup is the short answer but to go back even further how about....

....Marvel UK and the bog roll covers.

....Marvel UK's Horizontal rectangular comics.

....the way Forbidden Planet ( london ) looked when it was in Denmark Street and St giles high st. When Brian Bolland designed their T-Shirts ( 2 of which I still own ) and that life size dalek they had right at the front. Beautiful.

...those were the days!!
