Madman issue 3 was absolutely stunning. If you thought his Solo was good, this will knock you for six.
An artist of Allred's skill riffing on another artist's style is always going to be fun, but packing hundreds of these riffs into a single issue - something else. It's great to see a comic of this quality in on a monthly schedule.
This one issue just oozes a love of the medium as a whole, comparable on that level only to Flex Mentallo.
This is really crying out for a full annotation by some internet nerd. I'm not nearly geeky enough to get all of his references. |
