OK. Any of you wimps out there read Matt Howarth's (sp?) stuff? You know: Savage Henry, The Post Brothers, Domes, Hiroshima, etc.

Buggin out in Bugtown, right? This shit's fuckin' brilliant but hardly anyone has read this masterminds work. Nothing beats Ron Post havin' a showdown with himself in the middle of his pad as the place gets razed as the two flicker through the multiverse.

Any you read that kind of stuff? If you do, is Matt still puttin' stuff out?

Yeah, a good friend of mine appears in one of his strips (or his dad - Ron Geesin. I'm not sure....). Used to really like his stuff when I were a nipper.

Don't think Matt's had anything out for a while. His publishers keep either fritzing out of existence or dropping him. Last issues were published by AEON, I think, around number 63 or something, about four/five years ago. I think he's looking for a publisher at the moment.

there's a homepage here, and that email address works. Or it did two years ago.

He's been low-key for quite a while. Have to say, too, that a lot of his stuff was pretty thin as it trickled down - his art became much less detailed as he tried to do too much at once. The last gasp was really his DC three-part, Star-Crossed which was just not very good.

But I'm quite happy to own the orginial pressings of Changes and all the Fire Shrine Trilogy. Love those books, and quite a lot of the Post Bros. and Savage Henry series. Beautiful. Changes and the Das Loot book are very nice reads.

yeah, i think matt probably does suffer from the side-effects of his prolific nature, but some of his later work is nice and tweaky...

the Doctor 13 one-shot with Vertigo was interesting, and the later Post Bros with the savage empress or whatever it was, was a really nice spaceopera romp kinda thing.

Thanks for the link matsya! I knew he did alot of work, but I had no idea that he's done so much work.

I must admit that I have hardly read or bought any comics in years. The last Post Bros I read was around mid forties I think. I stopped buying comics regularly about five years ago (sorry Capt. Zoom and comic dealers everywhere).

I might have to snoop around for Matt's more recent stuff though...it's good to know that some of you are familiar with his work!
