The Most Original, Mind-Warping Thread EVER!!!.... (yeah, right)

It's time for the first (annual? monthly?? weekly??? daily????) Barbelith Underground ComicBooks Fan Award 2002!!!!

... poor unhappy fanboy ...

That's right! The most original idea for a thread ever seen on Barbelith Underground (hey, has anybody done this yet?... if someone has, i'm such a dork...)

Anyway, I'm proposing these categories, you can add as many as you wish. Oh, for 2001-early2002 comics-creativeteams-characters-whatever...

HEY HO, LET'S GO!!!

Best 2001-early2002:
Best Writer * Best Writer/Artist * Best Penciller/Inker or Penciller/Inker Team * Best Colorist * Best Lettering * Best Cover Artist * Best Single Issue * Best Serialized Story * Best Ongoing * Best Limited * Best Prestige/Graphic Novel/One-Shot *

Come on, and vote for yer favourite!!!

Best Writer: Peter Milligan
Best Writer/Artist: Dan Clowes
Best Penciller/Inker: Frank Quitely
Best Colorist: Dan Clowes
Best Lettering: Dan Clowes
Best Cover Artist: Frank Quitely
Best Single Issue: Eightball 22
Best Ongoing: X-Force
Best Prestige/Graphic Novel/One-Shot: Cola Madnes

Basically...the only comics that have held my interest in the last year were the new Eightball (and how!), X-Force, New X-Men, the new Acme, Cola Madnes (which I still don't own and still haven't read all the way through but inspires the hell out of me nonetheless), and the comics in the Comics Journal Winter Special. Other than that, 2001 was a poopy comics year for me.
