Steve Jackson Games to release Hellboy Role-playing game.

Sure, it's just a piece of fluff, but I think it would make a pretty cool game. And GURPS always has amazing worldbooks.

If anyone's interested, Playboy has some flash Hellboy comic strips on their site. Also, recently Mike Mignola did designed props, storyboards, etc. for the new Blade II flick. Thus concludes anything I know about Hellboy.

The best part about it is that it has the GURPS Lite rules integrated into it, so that you don't need the Basic book.

I like the non-whiny, independent, strong, take charge of your life characters.

Sometimes that means hulking, sometimes it means characters like Lord Fanny.

Hawkman rocks though, even though I like Katar better than Carter.

I'm all about Katar. A half-naked visitor from another planet who has an anti-gravity belt, wings he probably doesn't need, and a fucking mace for a weapon. He's a nut job.

It's ridiculous, but I would so love to do a Hawkman series. The Conan of the DCU. Can you imagine this guy walking down the street? All naked with that crazy mask and his giant cock? Towering over criminals, beating them senseless like a warrior born?

I like the limitations of the character, as well. In a world of godlike powers, he takes on superpowered beings with determination and a motherfucking medieval weapon.

Give me Hawkman!

Btw anyone picked up Suppressed Transmission one and two, works of genius both. Ken Hite writing on how to make your games strange, everything from Antarctic Space Nazis to Six Degrees of Sir Robert Bacon. He's one of those annoying people who have just read evrything :-)

Also on a related topic, Hellboy whats the good stuff to read first. Read the odd comic, looks great makes no sense at all :-)
