A comic totally completed in 24 hours, insane and hilarious!

More 24 Hour Comics then you can handle.

My friends and I tried this a few times, but it was really just an excuse to get together socially. To actually accomplish such a feat, you'd almost certainly have to be alone.

I've always wanted to do one of these.. but I don't think I'm good enough to be able to handle it..

THOUGHT: there was this short slot that was on Channel 4 in the middle of the night a few months ago, where they got half a dozen 'animators' and sat them round a big table and locked them all in a room for 36 hours or something to each make a minute long cartoon.
Which was vaguely interesting, but I kept thinking 'this animating business is so time consuming and dull, it would be much better if they were doing a 24 page comic!'

I did a 24 minute comic once because I had a deadline for a different project and I needed to procrastinate. It's called "I hate Birds".

I've never managed 24 pages in 24 hours but I have pulled off one page comics in two hours several times. You can see them here.

My brother might be having a party this weekend. If he doesn't, then I am going to finally do a full on 24 hour comic. Wish me luck!

I've set aside tomorrow to finally complete a 24 hour comic. Wish me luck.

I loved this idea, when it was the indie rage. Man, over ten years ago. Shit.

Tried a couple, and got about ten pages in each time. Was painting one of them, though, so I'm proud enough of that. Watercolor is the way to swiftly paint, for sure.

Now I have to dig out the copy of Gaiman's book that I've got buried somewhere.

Gaiman's comic, if you can't find your copy.

Also, if you scroll down here, there are two comics listed by a Jack Fear. Hmm.

I should really get to bed if I want to do this.

Yeah, it was looking at the online copy that made me want to find mine. There's some small text that's completely illegible on my little iBook screen. Great stuff, though. Thanks for linking that page.

A Jenny Everywhere 24 hour comic, Moriarity?? I love it!! Let us know how it goes!!!

I've often though about this concept; the whole 'no sleep for 24 hours' thing would likely affect the comic one is producing, no? Also eating and the like.

Moriarty, that's totally sweet! Good luck.

I did one once, about the duel between Aaron Burr and Alexander Hamilton, but I don't think I have it any more. It actually took a lot less than 24 hours, because there was an eight-page section that was all stick figures... ah, you had to be there, maybe.

I'm documenting my progress on my blog if anyone's interested. How self-indulgent!

Sorry. I put in a request to have that fixed, but I guess they haven't got to it yet. Here ya go.

Damn, I almost made the same mistake again. Blogspot, not Blogpost! I'm losing it already.
