He hated the super-hero stuff, but could have done Conan every day and been a damn happy man...and the sales showed when he wasn't doing the book too.
Along with Romita, he's the guy who pretty much WAS the Marvel style after Kirby left. It's too bad...he's a guy who should have gotten a lot more fan acclaim than he got. |
