I recently recieved a double whammy of wordless genius: on top of Professor M's delicious silent X-Men issue, I bought the Spy vs Spy complete casebook, which reprints all Prohias' original strips. With this in mind, what are other people's favourite wordless issues/comics/strips/graphic novels?

As a related aside, I recently bought a copy of Mad for the first time in yonks and saw that Peter Kuper had done a Spy Vs. Spy.

Please excuse my threadrot, but can anyone tell me : Has he taken over on an ongoing basis ? And how have they been received by readers ? The one I saw was pretty good, though it was in colour, which was something I wasn’t used to.

Kuper has been doing Spy vs. Spy for a few years now. He hasn't been very well received by many old school Spy vs. Spy fans, but you could kind of expect that. They complain that the new strips are a little stiff, and that is true in comparison to the old ones. I'm not complaining though, and I love the classic strips.

Mad has been recruiting a large number of off beat choices into their bullpen. Shame they've started running ads. Gave me quite a start when I first saw them.
