NEW X-MEN #124
Written by: Grant Morrison
Art by: Ethan Van Sciver & Tim Townsend

THE SCOOP: "Imperial" Part 3 of 5!

THE STORY: Cyclops has left on a desperation mission to recruit the enigmatic Xorn (who first appeared in New X-Men 2001) - but Cassandra Nova (voted "Best Villain" by Wizard) is one step ahead, and the two may not leave Tibet alive! Meanwhile, Professor Xavier's mad twin has dispatched the Imperial Guard on a horriffic mission: Destroy all mutants! And in case you noticed, this story has grown by a chapter - because Grant Morrison's story is too big to contain!

That looks like a Marvel solicitation, but I've been to the site and I can't find it anywhere....

Where did you find it, Knowledge? Am I just being blind?

I thought they had "recruited" Xorn. Why the need to go to Tibet?

Unfortunately they don't say who's on the cover... I'm curious about it. Hm. Maybe an Imperial Guard person or something?

Oh, god, when I think of how Germ-Free Generation might have been if Frank had drawn it...

He really is a genius.

Hmmm...looks like he's inking himself this time round, which partly explains why he's been so long working on this.

Also note that he's jokingly credited as Frank "Quietly" - both in reference to the silent gimmick and also, possibly, to the constant misspelling of his name by the fan crowd...

Yum.
I hope the art is that cohesive throughout the issue. Some of the other 'Nuff Said stuff I've read left me a little confused at points. Jan. 9? or is it the 15th? Too far away, whenever it is.

That's because many artists working in comics today don't know how to tell a story in pictures.

Frank does.

i've also seen a few writers who have really failed to rise to the challenge of writing a comic without words...
