I picked up Ultimates... It seems okay, I only skimmed through it, I haven't had much time today, and the time I have had, I've been going back and forth with two books....

It looks nice, because most things Hitch draws look good. There were a few bits of Millar's script that caught my eye that kinda made me cringe.

Even if it is the "ultimate" version, I really can't manage to get even slightly enthusiastic about Captain America. I think I'll read the next few issues, because they won't be so Cap-centric...

Hang on....Cameron's back? And he battles the Knodge? For the cause of good?

Sadly, those posts were before Cameron left us.

Funny how only a few weeks after he stopped fighting the good fight, the 'Knowledge Wars' began.

Cameron was 'Captain Barbelith'.

Perhaps this is fodder for the comic project in Creation. I can see it as a 12 issue series. "The Knowledge Wars" featuring Captain Barbelith and Super Ganesh. Trapped in a board they never made.

I'll get to work on it now.

Zoom.

Can I have a cameo?

Last week's Transmet, anyone?

I think Transmet is getting really good again - the return of 'Anthrax Cat' had me salivating. Not sure about the way this story arc is teasingly entitled 'the cure' - does this mean Ellis is going to pussy out and save spider from premature dementia? I hope not.

Best line: "it's like working with a 14 year old boy on a caffeine high with a permanent, yet very small, erection"

Well on comics this week:

DK2 #2:
Mostly silly, but pretty fun... most of the concepts seem to have been done before & there's some serious fluff going on with what... 5 single page splashs of Superman & Wonder Woman making Whoopie??? the coloring has improved.

100 B:
100 bullets just rocks!!! The art is mindblowing... while some of the dialogue seems a bit forced it's an excellent story!!!

Hellblazer:
Well the non John Constantine issue highlites a few sex & perversion cliches & dialogue slightly more forced than 100 B... at least no lousey british accent & very nice art!

B.R.P.D:hollow earth:
Well the post Hellboy series is of course Mike M's great work as great as ever!!! This stuff is always inspiring!!!

Ultimates:
Art... WOW, story, like Captain America saves private Ryan... strong start to the series I suspect!

Tom Strong's Terrific Tales:
Author Adams busts out some great eye candy! The other stories are neat as well... will probably drop this series.

JLA:
Joe Kelly on JLA... funny, good charactor development... WonderWoman as "bondage therapist" for Martian Man Hunter... plus politics & a broken lasso, check it out.

Action Comics:
Superman in Japan... more Joe Kelly fun.

Wonder Woman:
I just Love Phil's art... she actually spins around to change into her garb Ala the T.V. series... but beyond that & a tribute to the heros of 9/11... I'll be dropping this as well. Probably send them all to my neice.
