Sept. 11 Sandman Story

Captain Zoom

I'm not sure if it's in poor taste to be quite excited about this, but in v.2 of the September 11 trades that are coming out in January, there's going to be a Gaiman-penned Death and Destruction story.

Why bother when you know it's going to be a total load of utter shit, contemptible shit?

What makes you say that?

I would be excited about it. It's supposed to be pencilled by Chris Bachalo, and from what I've heard it doesn't even happen in New York...I think it won't be nearly as awful as Marvel's Heroes, let's trust in Gaiman's good taste.

I just hope Bachalo can go back to his Death style, rather than the mess he makes of Steampunk (when it comes out!). I'm not a big fan of the direction he's taken his art.

Aha, well Zoom, vive la diffruns etc., but I always thought the Death mini was the worst thing Gaiman ever did.

Except Neverwhere of course!
And all those crappy Tekno comics, come to think of it.

And some of those short stories...

I honestly don't know what to think of this. Being one of Gaiman's biggest defenders, I really don't know what to think of this. I can only hope it's done tastefully and we don't get a pat analogy of how life must continue and it's necessary, blah blah blah, just because that startling revelation is coming to us via a drawing of a Goth girl.
