Spinning off from the DK2 thread.
Does the right to criticise something only come as a result of ownership/entrance fee to said object, or does it reside elsewhere.
Is the right to criticise part of an artwork in isolation (for example the parts extracted for previews and trailers) any way valid?
What about reviewers who do not have to pay for the things they are reviewing thus have a different economic relation ship with the art object to that of the true audience
Is the decision not to buy the most damning criticism?
what do you guys think? |
