You know, in all seriousness, it's just dawned on me that he looks quite a lot like some of the people Bed Head has been known to draw so well.

*bump*

Does anybody know if the picture Popey's doing the Mr Chewycheeks over in that last shot has been published anywhere?

It's for a friend who thinks it's hott.

I KNOW TOO MUCH USLESS CRAP BECAUSE, FOR A GUY WHO I DON'T REALLY THINK IS EITHER, A, THAT HOTT OR B, THAT NOT UGLY, I REALLY REALLY FANCY HIM:

It's a print of an edition of something for Diesel for their founder's 51 birthday. It was going to be a painting for just him, but then it was made into something a few rich people could buy. All the stuff from his Diesel SoHo window display is in Pulphope, apparently, but I've not read it because I have not yet actually seen it for sale.

Thanks for the info, _pin.

I know now that I'm a deeply worthless person because the scenario you described there filled me with a deep sense of twisted envy and malice revolving around the fact that I'm not a handsome and successful independent comic book artist from New York who sells his stuff to hip corporate bastards. Not that any of that is relevant to the quality of the art which remains stellar.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy

Out of curiosity, Comics Kids, has anyone picked up a copy of Pulp Hope? It's a pretty slick book and I'm quite enjoying the essays as well as the art.

Shit-a-brick, children.

Paul Pope's OMAC.

Kirby's original is still really creepy and evocative, though I don't remember all the bits of styrofoam...

Old news, dude. That's from an eight-page OMAC story in Pope's issue of SOLO.

Ah, see, I'd know this if I could find a copy of the damned thing.

Not that the world's blowing up because I haven't got one, mind.

Sure, glad to have that affirmed, but what's news in the last 6 years?
