It's very good...Not quite as good as the Birth Caul but it does get extra brownie points for being partly about Arthur Machen...

thought its thread was not as umbelical as the Cauls', though some beautiful revelationary poetry was evident and that dancin bird was a bit of alright.

felt queasy on reading about Paris fingering Helen.

Yeah... good Read.

Does any know that there actually IS a game...based on Hindu Cosmology, called Laila upon which the game Shoots & Ladders is based? It functions as "Snakes&Arrows" and plays verymuch like an interactive Tarot deck as each "square" is a Karmic location in the cosmos as the Soul/player rises up the 7 layers (each one resonant with a chakra) towards the goal which is Cosmic Consciousness...

Arrows function as endevors that will elevate one's soul such as:"spiritual devotion"

Snakes function as shortcomming that will weigh the soul down... such as:"envy or greed"

It's a great and revealing game, wonderful to play with close friends that will honestly help explore how a "snake's bite" truely relates to that person's nature or "self"

did I mention that the comic was also a good read???

There's a cool game invented by the late Gerald Suster (Horror author, magician, and former student of Israel Regardie) called 'Celestial Snakes and Ladders' which is played using the tarot cards, and is kind of like snakes & ladders but played on the Tree of Life diagram, ascending and descending the paths between the sephiroth. I haven't played it, but it sounds very cool. He talks about it in his book 'The Truth about the Tarot' which should still be available on Amazon.
