Normally I don't read Manga, but I absolutly love this title. Everything about it is great--the meticulous artwork, the hell-bent storyline, the historical accuracy--and the contemplative poetry of utter carnage. As far as I'm concerned, Highlander (et al.) could only dream to be this good. I mean, just look at some of the cover art!:

Samura has created an absolutely wonderful piece of work with Blade of the Immortal.

I only read it through the tpbs and always find myself itching for the next one to be released. It gets very hard not to sneak a look at the individual issues. By the way, 'The Gathering II' tpb is out in December.

If you like Blade...you should take a look at Lone Wolf and Cub.

There was even an article in Pulp (forgive me if I don´t instandly coughup the nmber, the mag is somewhere in the huge stack I keep in the cellar for whenthe winter comes....anyways...)an article that compares Lone Wolf to Blade and Who Would Win a Duel...
