I am hellbent upon making that mine.

Several issues I have are either in terrible condition or missing due to a person I borrowed the final four issues to (note: my favorite issues of the run) never giving them back to me.

Man, I hope nobody gives me a hard time.

flux, if you're really interested in picking up some original artwork, aside from buying it off the artists themselves at conventions, you can also buy it from some of these guys. i bought my first pages from scott eder at last year's san diego con, including the previously mentioned eaters page, a sandman page, and this one.

thanks for the tip...I'm not really in the market for the original art, though.

I walked into a shop earlier today, and looked around and found Doom Patrol 63, the last issue of Grant's run - quite possibly my single favorite issue of a comic ever - for cover price. I'd been looking all over for a replacement copy for five years since I loaned it out to never see it again, and I find it on the day I put in a bid for the whole damn run.

nice, I guess.

I really want that full run...there's a few issues early on that I still haven't read yet, and it'd be nice to just have it all in one stack in a row on my bookshelf... those comics mean a LOT to me, and we a big part of my adolescence. remember, I was reading all of this when it first came out when I was 12-13 years old. huuuuuge impact, let me tell ya...

You know what we need? A kind of place where people can just post which spare issues of Grant's work they have (or have bought) and then people can swap etc, That could be cool.

How quickly they forget...

The Market, Tom? Back in the days of Nexus Black? Didn't exactly set the 'net on fire...

Still, we hadn't the the membership pool that we have now. We may have reached a critical mass for it to be self-sustainable...
