I recently read part of a trade in the store the other day. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Unfortunatley, I had to leave before I could find out who wrote it, or even ask how many issues are out. I need some help...

johan vasquez, there was 7issues out, all all the Johnnys in the JTHMcomic are in there, his second seris concerned the lil boy next door, Squee, which is also in a trade w/ all the not johnny stories from the JTHMcomics, then he did two issues of a comic called I Feel Sick, which concers johnny's kinda girlfriend and two mini comic about a charater called Filler Bunny that was in the trades... also if you can find it, check out the magazine sized "Bad Art Collection" it's like a whole book of Happy Noodle Boy, brilient

actually it JHONEN Vasquez. and the the funniest back up strips from JTHM are also available in the SQUEE trade - which is my fav. of his work (i defy anyone to come up with a better punchline than 'oh my god! someone has put shit in my pants'.... erm ...ok maybe not...)

Personally having only read Squee the most quotable line of his is 'Oh my SPINE!' .
But Filler Bunny's 'I crave the cold welcoming embrace of the grave' was cool as well.
Hmmm must buy more of this guys stuff.

I picked up JTHM on a whim and ended up loving it. My favorite Vasquez moment: Squee's bizarre future self (from the Squee series). I had to read that one twice before the true beauty of it all sank in.

Every time I re-read my COMPLETE COLLECTION OF EVERYTHING VASQUEZ EVER DID I feel like one of those drooling fanboys in Obsessor episode. My love for this man knows no bounds. I have his art tattooed (badly) on my body. I refuse to lend anyone my JTHM originals and actually keep them bagged with cardboard and only read the trade, even though it doesn't have all the 'Meanwhiles' in it.

And I have to say that the devil is the coolest character in the books by far. "Ack! A cheerleader! Pure evil..."
