So no one is talking about the new issue of the best comic out at the moment?
You guys are weird.

I felt the last 2 issues were a little aimless but this issue kicked ass.
The Wolvie front cover, what's really going on and Doop as a major player (I hope).

Go and buy this and see why nex x men needs to step up a bit.

Oh and reading the letters page is still the funniest thing in the world I love mewling fan boys the make me laugh.

I'm really happy with how X-Force has been progressing as well, and was actually planning on posting about it today...

every issue seems to build on and improve upon the previous, and I'm really happy with how the comic is consistently surprising to me...there were a few things in the new issue I quite simply didn't see coming. And I'm glad that they are showing Doop to be something more than a mascot...I was wondering what that character was doing, other than being a weird looking camera man. What are Doops abilities? Is Doop is even a mutant? I liked how Wolverine could understand Doop in a very Han Solo & Chewbacca sort of way.

I don't think X-Force is better than New X-Men, though. I don't think it's better than Ultimate X-Men either. but it's really fantastic...

Spoiler

Warning!

Yeah, it was great. “I wonder if Coach would have put me in charge if I had let him do that thing with his arm? “ You’re a sick man, Mr. Milligan.

I also like the notion of the stoned freaking flying pickle evolving into the team’s mastermind.

I too love this comic.

I'm still having difficulty getting every issue - I've got the last few, but not the new one.

Does that Werewolf guy kick the bucket? I hope not, I like him.. kill Phat instead!

I like the werewolf Vivisector guy too. I like the idea of having a non-scientific academic in a superhero comic.

nice bit with the cover- wolverine putting forth a hard-ass image + making a sarcastic, rather postmodern statement- but in fact its just for the camera, the real joke comes when Doop turns off the camera. dig the fingers on the cover too? what a great way to introduce the mastermind behind the whole thing.

yeah man i loved this issue, the only one i'm missin' is the first one 116, oh well, man, the look on Doop's face at the end, i'm still not sure what to think of that, and am i insane or did Doop put the camera into his mouth? did i miss something? does he carry his gear in him? one thing i've been diggin' is that they don't go all out and explain ever ones power and exaclty how the work, it's like, "i'm a mutant and this is my power" no more no less, i like that a lot... and i totaly love how the Anarchist doesn't fit his code name at all heh heh heh, and yeah the letters page is as funny as the Steampunk ones as far as the "what the hell are you doin'" aspect but x-force gets the added "what the fuck have you done to my comic" fanboy aspect that has me rollin'

This is the one of the most original, realistic and warped comics I`ve ever read. Hard to belive it`s an X-title!
The way the charector`s are more concerned with their media careers then doing good reminds me of Zenith.
I would recommend it to anyone who likes grant Morrisons work whole heartily.

The biggest complaint I've been hearing, even from people I'd once considered open-minded is "What's with this art? Wolverine looks like an idiot" I subsequently threw these people through plate glass windows and jumped on their writhing bodies.

Well...

I didn't, but if I could have and they would have still been my friends, I would have. This latest issue of X-Force was a great pay-off issue, much enjoyed and I'm looking forward to the next one.

Speculations on the identity of the window-washer? It seems too blatant to just be a background character.

(Coming soon!!! Doop: The Origin. A 12 issue series tracing the character's beginnings back to ancient Rome where a fermenting grape was left on the vine a few days too long.....)

yeah, I never understand that...as if Wolverine looked so much better when Andy Kubert, Jim Lee, Joe Madureira et al were drawing him... Quitely and Allred both do much better renditions of the character than I'd ever seen, really..

Depending on how deep you want to read it, he’s a flying, stoned pickle or a deconstruction of celebrity merchandising. Either way, cool as can be.

What blows my mind about the people who are complaining about this title is that they're (well some of them are) complaining about how they title was great even before Ellis got his hands on it. I could understand being annoyed about the Counter X not having a fair shot, but come on. The old X-Force, pre-Warren Ellis, has been over for something like 2 years. Stop buying the damned ocmic if you've hated it for that long.

Zoom.
