aside from a limited series around the time of the tank girl movie i don't think there has been a tank girl comic... tank girl strips first appeared in the UK comics and music anthology 'deadline' and were later collected into a trade

Was that 'The Odyssey'? That's a trade that came after the movie, cos it's all about Hollywood being shit.

there were 4 tank girl books, called tank girl 1, tank girl 2, and tank girl 3. Then there was tank girl:the oddessey, which was originally published in the short lived (8 issues) tank girl magazine, along with the apocalypse storyline (not sure if its in TGO), milk and cheese, collumns by hidge and jenny slapper...
Incidently, what else are/have Hewlett and/or Martin done? (apart from JH's work on Gorillaz and that one issue of Doom Patrol?

Gypsy- try www.bookbrain.co.uk and do an advanced search for Tank Girl, only two of the books there but it's a start eh? (Didn't check as to whether they're in at the publishers though)

the TG books are all out of print now. chances of you finding 'em are probably best in second-hand bookshops...

though, maybe with the success of gorillaz and with titan finall6y publishing loads of old 2000ad stuff, they might realise there's a market for TG too... we can only hope.

always worthwhile writing to tita9in pointing out the demand for hewlet's stuff - while i can't remember if titan did the tank girl collection he did do stuff like hewlican's haircut for 2000AD which is well worth reading.

btw one of titan's Senior editors is now Simon Furman... one of the main writers on thew transformers comic... which might well explain why transformers has now been collected...

They'd probably have to get approval from Hewlett, who last I heard wanted nothing to do with Tank Girl ever again...

Anybody read that Hewlett thing in The Face a few years ago? It was his 'new idea' - a character called Whitey? Red hair? With Hewlett appearing in the script to convince its publishers that it was different from Tank Girl.

I want nothing to do with my last job either but if they want to show some people the work I did for them and send me a check I'd be more than happy to cash the mother fucker.

Whitey Action, from "Meet The Freebies."

I've got a Whitey Action t-shirt. It's a bootleg and I'm sure if Hewlett ever saw me wearing it he'd rip it off my back, but it's ace all the same.
