I really liked some of his run on Excalibur. although I do have a fondness for the characters anyway, and as such it was just nice to see them written by somebody not typing with their feet.
However, if you like superheroes, it's above-average for Marvel, once he hits stride with the Black Air storyline. Some good new characters, some nice lines, sinister conspiracies...pretty much standard Ellis.
Oh, and Casey Jones' artwork makes everyone look unbearably cute, which may or may not work for you. |
