From Silver Bullet.com

quote:
Dark Night For The First Night

The word is that Authority spin-off, The Monarchy, is to close its doors with #12. However, I hear that trade paperback plans are still to go ahead with the published issues. This advance-cancellation also gives the creative team to wrap up the storyline and give it a good send off.

We wish Mark Peyton our best in his hour of grief.

Also, maybe this is time for me to pitch a sequel? Monarchy II, this time about the real British monarchy in the Wildstorm Universe. The Queen Mum's a Daemonite, Fergie took Coda training and Prince William's gap year was actually following around Drummer, doing work experience for Planetary…

Wildstorm refused to comment on this story.

Its actually a shame that Monarchy is finishing. It was just starting to get interesting...

Doesn't bode well for the establishment...

It never made the SLIGHTEST bit of sense. Half the time you couldn't even tell how many characters there were and what they were supposed to be doing.

What's your point Tom?

I acctually kind of dug the story. Yeah it was confusing in places and a bit twisted, but I like stories where you aren't sure what's happening at first. I was willing to stick with it untill things started to gell a bit more, then make my decision.

Side Note: I was talking with a friend of mine a couple of moons ago and somehow Monarchy came up. Specifically the Bendix issue. She informed me that Bendix is acctually the name of a defense contractor. Thought that was kind of interesting.

Someone on the WEF (Brem X Jones) described The Monarchy as so:

"Every choice anyone makes forms a new dimension. Basic multiverse theory. However, something's gone wrong with the process. What should be straight division (like cells) is now cancerous, whole dimensions gone bad. The powers behind the Doctor write a perscription for this, giving Ex-Stormwatchers Christine and Jackson King a vision and power sufficicent to be a cure. They're gathering their team, and looking for the cause of the disease - and then will remove it."

He makes it sound so cool doesn't he, unfortunately I never noticed any of this in the comic...
