I hardly ever post here anymore but, nonetheless, I have the urge to tell everyone in the known world that this afternoon, after 6 months of form filling, phone calling, information finding, medical examinations and vaccinations, being interviewed and all other shenanigans, I've finally been given a US fiancee visa. This means I can go to the states this weekend as planned, and marry the woman that I love next month.

I am a happy, happy man and I feel the sickening need to tell you all. Please forgive me.

Awwwww! That's so ... well ... just so lovely. There is goodness happening out there in the world.

Thank you for reminding me of the balance inherent in the Universe!

I hope all goes well and that you remain happy for a very long time.

angel.

I'm happy for ya man...but at the same token it reminds me of a friend from Chile who is already living in the US and has been dealt a horrible hand. He met a girl they fell in love and got engaged. He followed suit and applied for a fiancee visa....after much labored filling of forms and all the same that you have endured; girl tells him that she can no longer fullfill the engagement. Truly she's a lesbian and can't let go of that fact, even though she had initially fallen in love.
Tragic story, eh? I don't know what he will do now. I imagine immigration will have no mercy and ship him back to Chile. All he can do now is enjoy his time here I suppose, in all america's twisted glory.
