Interestingly, while I replied to http://www.barbelith.com/topic/28826 the thread does not appear in my list of updated threads. Strange. Is this a known feature? Does the thread show up as updated for others, or is this an exclusive feature?

Is this because things in the Supercollective fora doesn't get listed in the updated threads?

Yeah, I think that I made it so that a few fora don't show up in recently updated threads because they didn't seem particularly relevant to everyone. I think originally, at least, the Conversation and Gathering were among them.

Got it. Only the colourful fora from what used to be in the Underground or later Spectacle and Revolution, but not the Supercollective or later Core and Participation.

Ah, except, I see Creation shows up in the list, so not quite what I summarized just then.

I thought I'd mention that I think having the off-topic and policy fora in a different class than the rest makes sense to me, as it keeps the meta meta instead of inline, however it seems curious that the creation and gathering are treated differently.

As an aside it also seems strange that creation and gathering, or the participation fora, are the same colour as the meta or core fora, instead of having a colour scheme in their own scale, like spectacle and revolution do; if that makes sense.

I think it's just because there used to be a LOT of chatty threads in Conversation that we didn't want in the guts of the site.

Makes sense. Treating Conversation that way makes it somewhat of a lobby or sandbox for people to chat in, without it necessarily being themed like the other fora and allows for it to be a less structured place to hang out, so to speak, like the corner pub.
