Iceman will be written by the X-Men: Magik and Legion Lost team of Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning, with pencils by Daily Bugle and New Warriors artist Karl Kerschl. Painter Steve Uy is providing the covers, the first of which is featured below.

The Iceman limited series is set to debut in October, and will carry a MarvelPG rating. And, as with the other mini-series' in the X-Men Icon line, there lies the possibility of Iceman developing into an ongoing.

Karl Kerschl is also one of the toughest cartoonists on the planet, thanks to his upbringing in that hardest of towns, Welland, the Rose City.

I almost bust a nut when I read an interview with Karl, and him and his friend mentioned Mr. Luey, Gordon Elementary Teacher. You don't fuck with the kids from Gordon.
