Ut!

I have been franticlly searching for any back issues of The Flaming Carrot. It seems every store I go to has only issues 27-30. I've been looking for the trades, but so far I have only found Fortune Favors the Bold, and the dealer isn't able to order any others for some reason. Bah!

Who out there is has any other issues? Would you be willing to barter? There's an issue in particular I'm looking for, but I don't know the issue number...I thought it was thirty, turned out it wasn't...it starts off in a bar, and screwball and someone else is following Carrot, who is acting unusual (for Carrot). At one point they end up in a K-mart. If someone could tell me what issue this takes place in, it would be appreciated.

"There will be blood tonight...blood on my hands, blood on the walls...blood on the moon!"

"Actually, it's not so much a super-computer as a rolodex..."

<shooting machine gun into rain barrel> "Guess who's not hiding anymore! Ha Ha!"

I've got the first trade and the pack that included the Mutant Ninja Turtle crossover, when he puts the paper bag over Raphael's head, because he's got amnesia but remembers fighting crime.

grant: Issues 27-29, I believe. Every store that has Flaming Carrot will have those. Someone should look int this...What all is in the first trade?

It's Fortune Favors the Bold.

I don't know if the ones leading up to that one were ever collected.

There's more here: http://www.mysterymen.net/FlamingCarrotPage/

There's a price list here: http://www.chez.com/flame/

but it's probably out of date.

Here's an interview with Bob Burden on the Dark Horse website.

They also sell all this stuff!

Surreal comic experience here at Chez Jeannie.

My girlfriend, who is not a big comic fan, wanted to show me something online, beckons me over to the computer, and before the page starts loading up her email address book is open and I see the name Bob Burden.
I ask "who's Bob Burden?" and she gets this nervous look and says, "Oh, he's just this guy who makes T shirts. We write to each other every so often."
Turns out for the past two months, she's been corresponding with Bob Burden after buying me a T-shirt. Had no idea he was the writer of the Flaming Carrot -- just knew that he sold shirts with the Carrot on them and that I liked the Carrot.
Very strange.
Very, very strange.

Apparently he's a very nice man (she keeps saying that: "He's a very niiice man!"), and now Jeannie's wondering if she said anything that might have offended him because she didn't know he was the writer.

"He's in California right now but he lives in Atlanta. Just some guy, you know."

Weird.

Anyway, you get a dollar off anything if you include your own hand-drawn picture of the Flaming Carrot with your order (invisible ink and crayon OK).
More stuff here: http://www.mysterymen.net/Merchandise/order.html
including his mailing address (the site doesn't take credit cards) and email address.

Jeannie: "I just feel so weird now. I'm gonna have to write him and tell him how impressed my boyfriend was that I was writing him."

I read somewhere that the complete collection is going to be printed sometime soon.

I forget where, which isn't much help, I know.

Jeannie: "Oh, he's gonna think this is sooo funny."

Seems like Mr. Burden is more than open to answering any of your questions.
