Did anyone get it?
The artwork/layout in promethea is always top notch , see the tarot issue but this issue really topped it for me with the ourobouros spread. If you haven't seen this, it's amazing. An infinity symbol with Promethea and barbara walking and talking in a recursive loop that requires the reader to rotate the page to read it properly.
Utterly astounding.
Also some nice breaking of the fourth wall as well with a character talking directly to the reader while telling a tale to promethea.
I love this book

Yeah, I love this book too.
It's cool cos I'm learing a lot about Magick which means I get to pick up on all the little references that litter this book.
(And I adored the Tarot issue! Made me see it in a whole new light!)

I'll look forward to reading this on the train tonight!

funny,i was gonna do a post about this issue.the first time in a long time i have actually taken time over reading a comic book and being really drawn in by it.beautiful cover, amazing artwork.i don't care if it is self-indulgent,at least it has something to say.as ususal,mr moore seems to have tapped into something very profound, here it's about language, ideas, belief and religion. It's an interesting paradox in that people create gods/heroes through their own imagination and language,so how can they be superior beings when they are created by us?obviously they represent ideas and themes which are deep, sacred and common to all people and i guess this is part of what promethea is about?communication is a big part of the theme of this issue,in which i felt it was easy to become aware that the reader is involved with a kind of dialogue with mr.alan moore, his ideas, and his love and respect for history, heroes and archetypes .more!!

I just picked up the Promethea collected edition the other day.

I'm kicking myself for being too dense to buy it monthly, it's great.

Gives me Sandman flashbacks on occasion, but still great.

I'm gonna have to pick this one up. I dont' really read any comics regularly these days (except, er, "Strangers In Paradise") but "Promethea" is on the semi-regular list, and actually I saw that beautiful cover just the other day. I have loved the covers for these lately.

Just picked up the 1st paperback and...wow its been a while since a comic has knocked my socks off like that.

Alan Moore would still indeed appear to know the score.

And the art, eye candy is not the word, J. H. Williams III knows what its about, there is just so much going on on some of the pages in the immateria, reminded me of the double page outer church spreads and the inside of king mobs head from the invisibles.

Anyone know when the second graphic novel is comming out?
