just curious as to what other people are making of the morrison's x-men and milligan and allred's x-force?
personally thought x-force was pretty cool and funny.great artwork, and deliberately fucking around with fans' expectations.
x-men was promising but felt very familiar,i.e. due to my overdose of both x-books and morrison's work.but i'm pretty sure it's gonna be very interesting...

Are they planning on releasing a second issue of New X-Men? It's already a couple weeks late, isn't it?

The second issue of X-Force was better than the first, I thought. It's alright. I'm planning on sticking with it more out of a love for Mike Allred than anything else though.

yep i picked up new x men (waiting for issue 2) x force (issue 2 was fun- but i still don't like allred's art- somehow I think it would work better on glossier paper)
and even Brotherhood (this title is terrible-- avoid like the plague)

Well, NEWXMEN wasn't on my retailers list from Marvel on what's coming in next week, so it looks like it may be awhile...

The second issue of X-Force was wonderful. I liked the first issue, but this issue has has made it a must buy series. Sexy characters, timely pop culture references (love Eminem being on the team [after selling his arse no less] and the kid who created Napster owning the team).

Can someone fill me in on the alleged appearance of the old X-Force in the new issue?

I finally got my hand on NEW X MEN. I think it was Grant in really good form, although it resembled Authority a bit (might be the art, though). Love those 'wild Sentinels'. And the attack on Xavier was fucking scary!!!!

Ah, the remaining members of the previous X-Force (Cannonball, Domino, Meltdown/Boom Boom, and Warpath) storm a press conference because they are pissed that this group stole their name, but are swiftly reminded that if they liked the name so much, they would have copyrighted it. The old X-Force say some selfrighteous things about them stealing the names of "better mutants" or something, and the new X-Force whups the old X-Force's ass, and that's that.

No!

I really like both of them. Looks like the curse of Morrison has returned though, eh?
