I love it. Kick ass art, enjoyable characters, good storyline. It follows the dealings of Manji, a ronin who became infected with the Kessen Chu (bloodworms that make him immortal. Anotsu, leader of the Itto-ryu sword school, bent on toppling all the dojo in Japan. A twenty one year old prodigy, he values swordsmanship above all else when it comes to his school.

I recommend it to you all, if not for the unique art.

I haven't read it in a few months. Can someone tell me whats been happening?

Rin obsesses over Anotsu. Manji chops people up in new, interesting ways with a bewildering variety of weapons while getting pieces of himself hacked off. Same old, same old, mostly. Only new thing is Rin has gone off solo followoing Anotsu to Edo.

i enjoyed the first five books, haven't read any others.

my current fave manga is untranslated and i only have the one book -- technical school of buddhism i think it's called (forget -- don't have it in front of me.) the only translated line is "after meditating, we break wind"... the art is rather euro-influenced, and i think i've got the general gist of the story without the translation. ish.

Have you read Lone Wolf and Cub? is a similar story and have good art too. I like both but I prefer Blade of Immortal. Also I am trying to adapt Manji to a RPG Character.

Anotsu was offered to be the headmaster of the government's samurai school, Rin is having prolbems at chasing him, Manji got hacked and chopped up, and had to take some time of to get better. Some oter of Anotu's people kidnapped and abused of the blond gal with the crossbow. They ended up dead. It's been interesting, but pretty crude (even if the autor manages to show crude facts without being vulgar)
