David Bowie, and the X-Men

I was listening to Bowie this morning, and something that I'd been wondering about for quite some time came back to the front of my mind... Was the song "Oh! You Pretty Things" the basis for Chris Claremont's X-Men run? I'm pretty certain he was the one who started using the phrase "Homo Superior" in describing mutants, right? I'm wondering that since the song predates his run by four or five years, if that song had any influence on the ideas he had...I mean, the song lyrics sounds like an X-Men comic gone glam. Anyone know anything about this?

Considering the fact that I misspelled the name "Clontle" (I, uh, did that on purpose, yeah....), I think it's clear as day that I am the evil Lord Clontle!

I reign supreme over my kingdom of trolls and I wield a mighty sword of pseudo-intellectualism at anyone who gets in my way! MWAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Actually . . I believe Stan Lee coined the phrase Homo-Superior right at the onset of the series . . .

Maybe Bowie was the first Mutant to come out of the testube/closet???
