6 Degrees of Superhero Separation

If you hate fluff, turn back now.

Taking it back to sitting on the stoop of the local convenience store on those warm summer nights playing this stupid game. A game for the fatbeards.

Take two characters from comics and try to link them via various guest appearances. As an easy example, Hitman to Galactus could be
Hitman-Green Lantern (from the Hitman comic)
Green Lantern-Silver Surfer (DC vs.Marvel miniseries)
Silver Surfer-Galactus (numerous times)

Ground rules. Characters need not have interacted, only been in the same comic, and therefore the same "universe". Think Crisis on Infinite Earths. Promo pieces and covers do not count. For example, the upcoming Batman/Planetary cover is available, the comic is not. Batman-Jakita doesn't count. Yet. There must not be more than 6 separations, or, no more than 7 characters listed. And, most important, the person presenting the challenge must have figured out that challenge themselves, and listed the amount of separations when posting. Finally, while you don't have to list your sources initially, you may be challenged to offer up proof of any links between characters.

Alright, here's two right off the bat that have characters most everyone who visits here would know.

Elijah Snow (from Planetary) to Sandman (Vertigo version). 4 degrees of separation.

Marvel Boy to Ambush Bug. 3 degrees of separation.

And for the advanced geek.

Pinhead (from Hellraiser) to Elmer Fudd. 4 degrees.

Cerebus to Snake Eyes (from GI Joe). 6 degrees.

Wasn't Ambush Bug IN one of the Marvel Boy issues?
Or I might be thinking of the Batmite/Myxtlpk "World's Funnest." Hmm

>>Elijah Snow (from Planetary) to Sandman (Vertigo version). 4 degrees of separation.<<

1.Snow was in the Planetary/Authority crossover, as was Jack Hawksmoor.

2.Hawksmoor led an alternate-universe version of Stormwatch, of which Grifter was a member.

3.Grifter is also part of WildCATS, who once teamed up with the JLA.

4. Sandman appeared in JLA.

This what you had?

Oh, you're gooood.

How about this one: Doctor Who to Judge Dredd (6 degrees).

Nope. Very close though. I didn't mention it because it's a fine line, but, alternate universe versions or Elseworld counterparts shouldn't count. The Grifter you mention from the other universe never met the JLA in the 'normal' universe.

>>> The Grifter you mention from the other universe never met the JLA in the 'normal' universe. <<<

Okay then, change that to:

2.Jack Hawksmoor and his pals throw a bash on the Carrier, attended by Majestic, Voodoo, and Savant, all from WildCATS.

3. WildCATS team up with JLA.

Etc.

Boo-yaah.

Heh. Boo-yah, indeed.

I had Snow-Hawksmoor-Grunge(from Gen 13)-Superman-Sandman.

And I admit, I forgot completely about the Wildcats/JLA crossover. Kudos, GeekMaster.

Sandman (Daniel) to Batrok the Leaper

1) Batrok recently did a "look at that moron" appearance in the most recent Wolverine.

2) Wolverine and Superman were both in the latest DC/Marvel crossover.

3) Daniel showed up in one of Morrison's JLA issues.

Highbrow to poop on ice in three easy steps.
