Anyone still use this? It's a fantastic show; I'm on disc 2 of Season 1 now (via Netflix).

I watched it.

Almost every episode, I have to stop frequently because of anxiety. The worst part was when Walter talked to the students in the high school phys ed hall about that collision.

Not many shows where you hate the main dude more and more each day.

Is that how people react to it? I mean he gets scarier and weirder, but we're taken on the journey with him so for me it's not like that at all. It's more like uncomfortably identifying with a man going into some pretty terrible places.

The joy and horror of it is that you sympathise with him AND hate him more all the time.

Yeah I think there's a lot of truth to that. All of the characters (with the possible exception of Skylar) are sympathetic at times and awful at other times. I've come to even really like Jesse. He's a weirdly pure moral heart in the middle of it all.

Bits of Season 2 and 3 were kind of souring me on the show, but the end of 3 was fantastic. I plan to watch 4 and what we have of 5 before the show resumes.

I admire the show's general consistency and quality. It's not an easy thing to accomplish with the amount of episodes present in American series.

It does stretch itself a bit like most series do after a few seasons, but Breaking Bad generally does a decent job of dusting itself off and jumping back into the ring.

I'm happy Vince wants to put a bow on it and send it on it's way this upcoming season. I have been curious about how the start of the previous season was never addressed. Just a standalone glimpse of something coming.

I kept off this for several years, and then I finally gave in two weeks whilst browsing netflix. I had no idea that the final episodes were about to air. I watched the entire series up to current in three days with roughly three to four hours of sleep a night.

I have never in my life ever binged on anything like that. The closest I got was just after college and I went on a 7 hour The Next Generation marathon. Breaking Bad is without question the best television series I have ever seen.

But I fear the finale is not going to buck the trend of totally dissatisfying series endings. Ozymandias - that was the peak, and I guess appropiately placed - I mean you can't end a series on such heavy action...

(btw I have yet to see the Fly episode, its the only I didn't watch because I couldn't stand it as I can't stand bottle episodes - to my later satisfaction I learned that there was absolutely nothing lost either in emotional or plot developments.)
