Too Late For Stargate Universe

I decided to come here to voice my opinion because the SyFy channel's site (syfy.com) forums are bullshit! I registered there to discuss the cancellation of SGU, only to find a ridiculous rules list for a forum that is closed anyway. (go look at the rules list.)
I really want to ask the people at "SyFy": In what UNIVERSE is it justifiable to run Stargate Atlantis for 5 seasons and Stargate Universe for 2? I have watched every episode of all three series and I have to say that SGU has better everything than the previous two series.
Compared to SG1 and SGA, SGU has better writing (dialogue and storyline), way better special effects, a much better soundtrack (considering the other two series had none), a better cast (with an exception to Richard Dean Anderson), and to top it off a starting premise
which is basically limitless. I have to question the people at SyFy for canceling SGU for what they say was a dip in the ratings and ask "What show on your network doesn't have low ratings?". I like Amanda Tapping (SG1), but Sanctuary is just bad, really bad. And WWE?
What year are we in? I mean I understand the fiction part, but science fiction? Then there's the Americanized version of Being Human which I wanted to be good but when compared to the UK version (and in general) fails to stack up.
Stargate Universe was expected to open a universe of possibilities and instead has been sucked into the black hole that is SyFy's abandoned projects. To be purposefully corny; how is a ship supposed to fly if you never let it off the ground? With changes in air times and constant threat of cancellation
I think SGU was dealt a bad hand. Not to mention early knowledge of the cancellation forced (in unknown or unmeasurable ways) the writers and producers to oddly wrap the show up in these last 10 episodes or less. I also think blaming low ratings for the cancellation is a weak excuse
considering Fringe has had similar problems with air times changing three times and reported low ratings (causing one of it's creators to question the existence "Neilson Families") yet has still been able to sign on for a fourth season on Fox no less. This is interesting due to the fact that the Fox network is notorious for dropping more shows faster than the underwear of a groupie at a Poison concert in the mid 80's. Instead I believe the premature ending of the SGU series is due more in part to budgeting issues concerning the fledgling SyFy network and it's studios. At any rate it's a shame to see such a great show go so soon. Another Stargate series spinoff is so far doubtful, but I doubt the doubters and really hope there is something in the works (preferably a series and not a motion picture). Who knows maybe it was all planned to go down like this and it is going to tie into a future project. If this is the end of the Stargate franchise it better go out with a bang by finishing the Destiny's mission and finding what the Ancients were searching for.

This is the response that Craig Engler, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Syfy Digital had to the SGU fans (rabid or otherwise)

Well you're here now so you might as well click on this link and read it.
