This hurt. I have yet to dislike anything I've ever seen from him... Perfect Blue was one of the earliest 'serious' animes I watched, and it was great. Tokyo Godfathers is far and away one of my favorites.

I just had a Satoshi Kon marathon - never watched Millenium Actress before. It's a fantastic piece of work. It's a great shame that he died before he could contribute more to the medium.

Millenium Actress was fantastic. The man definitely left an indelible imprint on anime... and yeah, it is a shame he couldn't stick around longer. Having watched my own dad go through a fight with pancreatic cancer, I can't really blame Kon for not fighting it more aggressively.
