im curious if any barbelithers / ex-barbelithers frequent io9.com

with a focus that let's them include movies, books, comics, fringe science, conceptual technology, architecture, and more... it's got quite a bit of crossovers with the barbelith interest set. and its thoughtfully enough moderated that it doesnt feel like internet hell.

the whole thing of course lacks barbelith's anarchist radicalism, but then so does everything else, these days.

i just started posting there frequently and it made me wonder if anyone else from here took the tunnel to there.

I am there a couple of times a day. Right now I am reading the Fringe recap.

I like their TV show recaps and especially the user comments. Unlike on other sites there are no trolls at all. Refreshing.

I also get tons of scifi reading recommendations. There is the monthly heads up for new comics, books, TV shows, movie premieres, etc.

You're right about the relatively troll-free comments, although there was that time when River Tam beat all-comers in a bad-ass contest due to the Whedonites spamming the board.
