Hmmm, okay.
So the my basic question relates to buying a HD camera, but to be honest, and despite the clarity and breadth of information available online, I'm finding it difficult (because of my lack of knowledge) to navigate successfully and productively through the various guides.
Basically I have about E1,000 euro / $1,400 dollars and I want a digital camera set up with a couple of lenses (importantly something I'm going to be able to manipulate depths of field with) and one that works with my macbook (no firewire connection).
I've got a good eye and four years of five years of film studies but the technical stuff has always baffled me. And I've worked with cameras but yet again always dunderheadedly and intuitively without any real background / technical know how. Can someone recommend a good starting point of investigation (pertinent to my points; depth of field manipulation, price range, etc) or somewhere I can begin to inform myself about the technical specificities of digital film-making;
What I do I need to know, basically? How do I begin to inform myself?
I know Barbelith's been less than active lately, I've also posted this elsewhere but I thought I'd give it a shot. |
