This one's a bit of a plug, but also relevant hopefully! I wanted to alert people to the debut of the webseries I've been developing for the past year or so. It's called The Third Age, and it's a psychedelic remix of classic mythology, telling the story of a war between gods waged on the streets of New York City. Two episodes are out so far, and a new ones being posted every Tuesday.

You can give the first episode a look here: http://blip.tv/file/2859047

And, as I said in the abstract, I'm also the director of the upcoming Grant Morrison documentary that's coming out next year. So, if you want to get a taste of the visual style of that, dig in here!

Patrick, based on episode one, it's not clear what point you're trying to get across. It looks like a pop vid for an industrial band, and I'm not sure if that's exactly what you're going for.

That style of camera work's amusing if you've been hired to film a hard man from your local area's wedding, I guess, but otherwise, I don't know. In an increasingly confused and bewildered world, shouldn't the artist be aiming for clarity?

Best with it, whatever.

There's elements influenced by music video, but montage like that was around before MTV, it goes back to stuff like Kenneth Anger's avant garde work, and that was definitely an influence, particularly Lucifer Rising.

We're up to five episodes out now, if you want to check them out, I've been compling them in order here. Six comes out later tonight.

Kenneth Anger is an interesting guy. I don't know if you're familiar with the, I think, South Bank Show documentary about Donald Cammell (director of 'Performance') but Anger doesn't necessarily come across as a man who's to be trusted.

Beware of his influence. Also, watch out for David Lynch, the Invisibles, etc, for entirely different reasons.
