I too love rats with spinal cord injuries! What a coincidence!

*Squeals a bit*

The beady eyes! And fluffy white fur! And it has blue paws&ears&nose!

You've brought genuinely nice things to my head for the evening, only nice things. Thank you.

The spinal cord injury is very sad, but accidents do happen, and at least the little fella is getting the best care it can. I just hope it has a speedy recovery. And it's _so cute_!

Wouldn't it be more wonderful if you cut off its arm?

No! Because then it would have a smaller number of adorable blue paws.

Check it out, guys - it even harmonises with the forum colour.

I love you guys so much.

There seems to be a real sadness in the animal's eyes, though.

Poor, noble, tragic rat, whose involuntary sacrifice will never be understood, or even remembered, by all the waste who'll be filling up places in old folks homes while he ... sort of run out of steam.

A small cough, and then ...

I'm filling up now, just thinking about it.

Rats have very expressive eyes. Smart, too. If it weren't for the weeing everywhere, they would have gone further in politics, I think.

I like our new mascot, despite his harrowing history. Fitting really.

Though he might not have been as cute, he does make me think of our other tragic friend, Space Bat.

life is wonderful indeed. I spent my day tripping through a cornfield and apple orchard with a group of close friends.

rats are awesome too, and the conversation header should be replaced with that rat's picture.

That's only because you can't see the human hand I'm growing in place of it's tail.

How did the rat get blue? I'm fascinated! I know how to do it with flowers because I stood my white carnation in a bottle of ink during finals but rats with blue extremities ... now that's a challenge!

I think it was a treatment for spinal cord injuries that they were trying on this brave little fellow after an accident, which had the side-effect of turning his skin blue. Which means it would _probably_ work on humans as well.

I'm just sayin'.

..my friend just got a kidney transplant and is being sent home from the hospital tomorrow. he's been on dialysis for years and to top it all his wife was stricken with cancer. So this is a definite positive in the world.
