I herd about this on 4chan's /r9k/ board and have become quite bewitched by this eleven-minute video that starts as a clumsy local tourism promotional video and turns into... something entirely else. It's hard to describe, but my current means of understanding it is to imagine what would happen if the Kids in the Hall were forced to marathon Neon Genesis Evangelion, deprived of food and sunlight and told to write the synopsis for a video game while listening to early Radiohead.
What's more, the email address and telephone numbers on the site are real and active and - so I understand - staffed by real individuals who will answer unscripted questions about your planned move to Milwaukee. I'm trying my best to get the closing song out of my head, but I have a feeling this is a doomed effort.
Has anyone else encountered this, and do you suppose it really is, as some believe, laying the groundwork for Portal 2 ? |
