I´ve heard, Degenerate Art Ensemble was supposed to play some fabulous tunes. The same goes for The Brotherhood of Eternal Love, Barnyard Drama, Colonel Les Claypool's Fearless Flying Frog Brigade and Boris.

So far, I haven´t bothered checking out those groups yet, though, as there are always other bands I´m immediately so interested in, that I soak up their œuvre instead.

Johnny Cash never recorded a version of Nick Cave's "The Ship Song" with Godspeed You! Black Emperor as his backing band, but if he had, guaranteed it would've been fucking gorgeous.

That time that Nick Drake didn't sit in with Led Zeppelin didn't produce some stellar results. In particular, a never-written track not called "Winter and Wither" - where Drake doesn't sing a different lyric over an embryonic version of "Going To California," while not adding an additional contrapuntal guitar part - never doesn't fail to not raise the hair on the back of my neck.

Some folks say that Jeff Buckley's nonexistent fourth studio album would have been his best, but I think he would have really started hitting his stride around album #6. The surprise duets with Roy Orbison and Sandy Denny would have been worth the price of admission alone, but it would've been Marc Bolan's guitar work that really made it shine.

Also, it's worth noting that during his Rage Against The Machine days, Tom Morello used to routinely claim that his favorite guitarist was Joe Hill - even though Hill died some fifty-some years before Morello was born, and was never recorded.
