I'm not sure why I want to share this, but I do.

Because of a weak economy and cash-strapped donors, Focus on the Family said it is eliminating 202 jobs, the deepest cuts in the 32-year history of the Colorado Springs-based Christian nonprofit. The ministry laid off 149 workers, and cut another 53 vacant positions.

The cuts announced Monday slash Focus' local workforce by nearly 18 percent - from about 1,150 to 950. Twenty percent of the cuts are in management.

I very nearly put this in the "Schadenfreude" topic, but I can't say I'm all that delighted on a personal level.
In the big picture, though... high time.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy

On the one hand, this indicates bad things for NPOs in general. On the other hand, I really don't like hate, particularly people who hate me vehemently. Toss-up, but the plus side is always less of the organized, funded hate.

(Of course, hate funding always finds its way)

I'd hope that charmless bigots Christian Voice follow suit but as it consists of just one man it would involve Stephen Green laying off one of his thighs or perhaps his chin.

Perhaps he could fire his smugness. Or at least cut it down to a three day week?

I would settle for Green's tongue and his fingers.
