I'm working on a Jenny!

Not working on a Jenny in the sense that I've been working on a Jenny for the past three years, but actually working working.

On a Jenny.

Barbelith's then too-cool-for-school "hippy think tank" ethos perfectly

Before the Darque Times.

This ain't it. It's something else I'm working on. But since we're becoming all jentrified...

Phew, iamus! I certainly had 'a burst of creativity' when I saw that pic!

In fact I may have to go to hospital, for a while.

That a fact, Granny?

Surely the doctor, a discerning young buck whose "bedside manner" has inflamed the passions of many old birds like yourself (of custom fiercely autonomous, but now meekly resigned to the holistic rapture of his fine and capable hands), would, upon regarding your test results, have some stern words of censure on the matter of your nightly codeine and ethanol libations?

Would you endure the wounded disappointment, barely subdued behind those enervating sapphire eyes (That would put one in mind of Daniel Craig off of that Bond film)?

Could you?

It's tricky, but on balance I think I would.

The tests would, as you say, of course be disastrous, but I still can't help thinking that if the strapping, blazing-eyed medical professional you posit met me, he would really like me.

(I did like the drawing, incidentally)

Well then, seize the day! None of us are getting any younger!

And thank you, Granny. Glad you like it. I was lightly teasing there but It might have come off as a bit more stand-offish than it should.

Bloody hell. Must crack on with that story I've been writing for the past five years, I suppose....
