DVD is out today, so if you've a region-free DVD player, then Amazon is your friend.

Don't know if it's got commentary from Brooker though, that'd be worthwhile.

..or, ofcourse, there are healthy torrents on the Pirate Bay. But then again, you wouldn't steal a handbag would you Benny?

That zombie right at the end staring at the telly screens in the shop window, that was Brooker-Zombie wasn't it?

Nasty, bleak, brilliant ending. Countless zombies hammering and screaming on the windows and surging through the red-lit claustrophobic runs. The sheer hopelessness of being caught in the Diary Room and knowing that the only way out is an impossible run through the screaming horror hammering on the door.

Unlike the recent remake of Dawn or even (IMV) the 28 Days films this really hammered home how fracking tough sprinter zombies are. Fast, implacable, violent beyond belief.

Watched them back to back on 4od last night, the time flew in.

Well impressed.

I have to agree with boboss that the shitting in the bucket and general trapped in the closet theme with Davina outside did provide a chuckle. Shitting in the bucket with her screaming and him shouting back "Glad you applied" or something like that was perfect. Zombie, and horror, flicks don't often address the reality of being trapped, shit scared and having the runs. It also helped to paint Patrick as an all round unpleasant chap, zombies outside? I'll get drunk, pass out then shit in a bucket to help out the other terrified person trapped with me.

Not really surprised that Brooker killed off everyone in TV land in the most unpleasant way he could think of and I did appreciate that Patrick was a complete nob right up until the very, very end.

As with the better zombie flicks it demanded some shouting common sense tips at the telly. My other half was in quite a state that the door had been left open in the background during an extended team meeting.

Good stuff

Simon Pegg moans (a bit) about running zombies, and Charlie Brooker responds (a bit.)

No, Ghouls tend to creep and, at a push, jump out at you from behind gravestones, but i wouldn't say they run much.

You're thinking of tigers.

I'm normally pro-shambler when it comes to Zack, but I think there's room for both types of zombie in the world. The speed of the Dead Set zombies combined with a focus on their target that the "Infected" of the 28 (Somethings) Later lack. The Dead Set dead (DSDs?) seem to lock on and keep on coming once they know there's a "normalite" around.
