Good Old Games

I recently found an interesting website called Good Old Games (linked to here) that sells classic pc games patched to work on xp and vista at around the $6 mark. Unlike Steam and other download sites the games are DRM free and can be installed as many times as you like. It seems to be an interesting halfway house between abandonware and the budget game market. It's just started (it's still in beta) so the catalogue isn't huge but I'm hoping it will be succesful and grow to include some of my personal favourites such as X-com and the early LucasArts adventure games. I've just downloaded Fallout and am working my way through it at the moment.

There are a lot a beautiful games available through GoG. Fallout 2 is the pinnacle though.

I'm a gamer, and sadly, no game has ever had a hold on me like the aforementioned turn based RPG had. If you've never done it before, do it now I say, do it now. Must be a high-res patch for those of you with monster monitors too.
