This is a relatively serious request, despite the fact that it's ridiculous on the face of it.
There are a lot of British Barbelith users, and a fair few from elsewhere in the EU. Or farther afield.
I'm in the U.S., and I'd like to start doing some work where I can earn a couple bucks (or, uh, quid) in a currency that'll actually put food on the table.
So, do any of you know of any freelance, piecework, temp or on-spec jobs for people who either know HTML or how to put a (relatively) coherent sentence together? I've been a reporter, proofreader, copy editor and even web designer. I've got a full-time job, but am VERY INTERESTED in any kind of bits or pieces things that might pop up in places that aren't here.
The kinds of things that generally aren't worth the time for folks who earn a living wage where you are - the things a college student might do in a weekend, or over six weeks. I'm looking at our national finance situation, and it is not good. Getting paid cigarette money in Great Britain is looking like it'd go quite a bit further on this side of the pond.
I'm willing to be offshore labor. Eager. It makes sense.
But I'm not sure where to even start looking.
Anyone have any leads? |
