Well, I saw it last night and I just make my mind up. I can see that it's very clever. But I'm not sure I entirely get it. Or that I totally like it. But it's stuck with me in an odd sort of a way. Help.

I'm not sure if that's a rhetorical question or not... but I can't really add much other than to say it's a 2008 sci-fi film, French, made by the guy co-responsible for Delicatessen and City of Lost Children (and he had something to do with Alien Resurrection IIRC) and the film's a little like Alien 3 and Solaris in that it's set in an extra-terrestrial penal colony/space craft wherein seriously wierd stuff starts to happen. But it has quite Christian overtones, this time. Part of my problem is that there's not much on-line stuff coming up. That and I find anything French fundamentally perplexing because I am a simple-minded Anglo-Saxon and can't really think like they do.

Oh! It's by Marc Caro, the guy who's not Jean-Pierre Jeunet.

Is it visually like a French comic book (like Alien Resurrection or City of Lost Children)?

I recognize a few of City's actors on that website....

Yes, very much so. All the more so because the mystery-man-with-strange-powers cannot speak and so his role has to be fairly "graphic" (if that makes sense). I'm not the most qualified person to talk about graphic novel 'style' films but some sort of influence is definately there in this case.

Omega the Unknown: the Movie? En francais?

I'll have a deeper look when I'm not at work.
