Whether Haus interacts with you or not, I think enough people might still be around that would mean your experience of debating might not meet your expectations.

A court case can't have a Lawyer that also happens to be the judge. It follows that a moderator can't actualy participate in a debate and be a moderator at the same time - because you end up moderating everyone until they agree with *you*. Sound familiar? And yet no-one on BB thinks this odd...(well, actually they leave).

This isn't a personal thing - well, actually it is...I'm friends with several folks who have been back after some time, and have been baited by Hauser making personal insinuations that are blatantly untrue (and he has then pointed out that it's not about them....very circular and time-wasting). This results in debates that are stuffed with posters correcting moderators about vague, insulting suggestions - and precious little progress....

Houser - Ignoring the fact that I was talking about you rather than to you, what difference would it make? I'm sure all my ex-BB friends were wrong, and you were completely correct in everything you said and an expert about any subject (as long as you don't have any personal experience to taint your opinions, right?)

I simply wanted to find out if there's facist moderating still going on in this 'underground' site, before I risked posting again - and since Houser is a) still here and b) almost certainly still sees nothing wrong with his judge/ lawyer 'moderating'...(oh and since the friends I asked are all now ex-BB - yes, in the last 5 years) that's all I needed to know.

In Torque's defence, he is referring to a period when one could moderate one's one posts, and specifically to a discussion that became so vile and so toxically racially offensive that I deleted everything I had posted to it in protest and disgust. The thread was not deleted, nor was anyone else's post deleted, to the extent my recall, unless they asked to have it deleted. I did mock the crap out of him, however, which I think might be what is still upsetting him.

if coming here and starting this thread out of the blue is meant to be an example of Haus "baiting" someone, I think I see what your problem is.

Of course, Haus, it's completely unfair and rude of you to come to this thread and respond to comments made about you. you can't have a legal system where the defendant is allowed to know the charges against hir and make counter-arguments!
