Surprisingly easy. I think it's going to act as a personal retirement of some tropes, which means nothing to audience, since I barely have one that follows my work, but fuels the writing immensely.
And it's a callback/response piece to a lot of other peoples/groups' tropes, including directly tackling what I consider the schism beside fantasy and magical realism, the canon-making standards of Native Lit, and trying to make didacicism valid and useful in a 21st Cent. context. Plus dead birds full of wires, the fear of youth, the fear of the old, true love versus some other kinds, and in the end, trust in the time of movies.
It couldn't be easier or move viral-ly me, if I just cut and pasted my Barbelith posts together at random. |
