I wasn't a huge fan of his artwork, but from all the testimonials and remembrances I'm reading, he sounds like a stand-up guy who maintained a very optimistic attitude in the face of a life-threatening disease, and always turned in his art on time regardless of what was happening. His efforts to be there for his fans and put forth 100% in his work sound very impressive. Certainly, the passing of any honorable professional whose work was a fan favorite (for many sections of fandom) is a sad event... and he was quite young. |
