So I got a email from Supernatural Crime last night. This happens from time to time. Brian Bolland is in it, among other people.
There are strange doings afoot. If you haven't read Femme Noir and you like talking gorilla crimebosses and two-fisted pulp heroines, then you're missing out. I seem to recall some folks saying they were reading it last time I brought the title up.
But even if you haven't seen it online, now, maybe you can catch it in stores.
Here, from that mysterious email:
Each issue contains a standalone 28 page story and two pin-ups by guest artists for a full 30 pages of full color story and art. Issues #1 and #3 are inked by Horacio Ottolini, issues #2 and #4 by Mark Stegbauer. Colors are by Melissa Kaercher and Matt Webb.
Each issue is being offered with two covers: one pencilled by Joe and then digitally painted by Alfredo Lopez Jr, the second by a guest artist. Those artists are Brian Bolland, Matt Haley, Phil Hester, and the late Mike Wieringo.
As I mentioned above, the first issue will be solicited in the April edition of Diamond PREVIEWS for a June release.
The 4-issue miniseries will be published monthly through the summer.
There are crates labeled "TNT" and hidden safes.
And a hail of lead. |
